Acriflavine
After 28 years of supplying Acriflavine Cotton Wool this product has been discontinued.
Despite our best efforts over the past 2 years and searching worldwide we have been unable to source an alternative supplier. We do have a company actively involved in trying to produce this, however samples supplied to date have not met our exacting standards and we will update you should this situation change.
The Pharmaceutical Manufacturer of the Acriflavine Emulsion has been unable to meet British Pharmacopoeia (BP) monograph requirements for the Emulsion which means we can no longer comply with the Therapeutic Goods Administration requirements for listing this product as a Class III therapeutic device.
At this time we can only advise that there is no equivalent product available from any source. However we are able to offer Sterile Manuka Honey which will replace the anti-bacterial properties of the Acriflavine and can be used in conjunction with Sterile Cotton Wool Balls.
